Xiaolong Liu, a Los Angeles-based Cinematographer, was born in China and raised in Stuttgart, Germany.
His passion for cinematography emerged during his time in film school in Stuttgart, where he began his career as a camera assistant around 2010. Seeking further growth, he moved to New York City to study Cinematography.
With a distinctive and expressive visual language, Xiaolong’s talent shines through on the screen. He has left an indelible mark on the commercial industry, defining the look and feel of projects for esteemed clients like Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola, and Facebook. His creative collaborations have extended to music videos with renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, and The Weeknd.
Having an upcoming Netflix sci-fi film to his credit, Xiaolong’s exploration of visual storytelling knows no bounds. He continues to captivate audiences with his artistry and unique perspective, pushing the boundaries of the craft.
Xiaolong is currently represented in the US by CAA and in Europe by XO MGMT.
