Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Andrew first plied his trade in Middle Earth, working at boutique shop Generator for five years. Then in 2005, restlessness took hold of him, so he packed his bags and set sail for Singapore.
Andrew landed at the venerable Batey Ads, where he was later promoted to Executive Creative Director at the tender age of 32. He then joined DDB as creative lead for the Health Promotion Board (HPB). During his tenure, HPB was voted Marketer of the Year, picking up multiple golds at the Effies, with one of his branded content projects being presented at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
In 2014, Andrew took the rains at Havas Singapore, where his team’s work was widely recognized at Cannes, Spikes, One Show, D&AD, New York Festivals, and the Effies.
He was appointed ECD of VCCP Singapore in 2019 – with the agency achieving gold at the Campaign Agency of the Year Awards just one year later.
Andrew has previously judged at Cannes, New York Festivals, Spikes, and Cristal. Outside of advertising, he also served as co-screenwriter on the independent Singapore feature, In the Room.
