He has lead advertising companies to ‘Agency of the year’, his clients ‘Brand of the year’, himself ‘Creative of the year’ and his creative team winning Grand Prix at Cannes Lion. Yang is also passionate about design, where many of his structural and spatial design projects were equally celebrated and published around the world. Yang’s creative reputation, solid leadership, consistent track record, made him a popular industry figure, jury president, and speaker at both advertising festivals and design forums globally. He was featured in Adweek’s Global Creative 100, conferred ‘Designer of the Year’ by the President of the Republic of Singapore, and currently sit on advisory boards of Singapore Economic Development Board, Design Singapore Council, and the Singapore Pavilion Dubai World Expo 2020.
Started out at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore in 1992, Yang moved to BBH London as Senior Art Director, launched Fallon in Singapore and Hong Kong, Chairman of JWT China and ECD of North Asia, rebooted W+K Shanghai, before the engagement with Hakuhodo in 2017. He is better known internally as Creative Kaiju (first generation), for his energy, tenacity, and fearlessness.
