As Executive Producer at Goodoil Films, Sam Long has produced work that has won Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clio, NYF, AWARD and many more. He has helped the company to earn recognition as BestAds No.1 Australian Production Company (2018 & 2015), AdNews Production Company Of The Year (2018), ADC Production Company of the Year (2016), and The Gunn Report No.1 Australian Production Company (2015). He has served on judging panels at Ciclope, AICP, NYF Advertising Awards, AWARD, and LIA.
Sam cut his teeth in Wellington at a number of leading advertising production companies. He then Assistant Directed on U.S. feature films and TV series. When Goodoil was founded in 2001 he moved into the role of Producer.
As EP he has forged partnerships with international powerhouses Rattling Stick, Super Prime and Arts & Sciences. Uniquely positioning Goodoil to shed a fresh perspective on brands abroad, and focus a global eye on campaigns at home.
In 2017 Sam oversaw two top Super Bowl commercials. “Bai Bai Bai,” featuring Christopher Walken reciting NSync lyrics beside an unimpressed Justin Timberlake and Henry Hobson’s epic “Field of Evony” starring Aaron Eckhart and Fan Bingbing.
